Further notes from the sources

  • This is the only engineering school Far Western University runs itself. The other three colleges on its engineering register are private, and two of them sit outside the far west entirely.1
  • The faculty counts 732 students, 30 teachers and 11 staff on its own front page. That is the only enrolment figure any of the nine engineering registers has a university publishing about itself.2
  • All three bachelor programmes hold permanent recognition, dated 2082-05-11 on the regulator's register. The school itself was first approved in 2070, so permanent status arrived twelve years after the school did.1
  • The faculty's own programme list carries three bachelor degrees and three masters, of which two masters are still marked proposed: an ME in Artificial Intelligence and an MSc in Earthquake and Structural Engineering. Only the MSc in Construction Project Management is running.4
  • Its admission form reserves a district quota for nine districts and no others: Kanchanpur, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Darchula, Kailali, Doti, Bajhang, Bajura and Achham. Those are the nine districts of Sudurpaschim province.3
  • Beside the district quota the same form offers a merit scholarship and five inclusive categories, each needing an uploaded proof document: women, Madheshi, Dalit, Adibashi or Janjati, and backward region, plus four graded categories of disability.3
  • A notice dated 4 September 2026 calls a re-entrance examination for Bachelor of Architecture at Mahendranagar and for BE Civil at the affiliated colleges. A re-entrance is what a university runs when the first one did not fill the seats.2
  • The faculty published a third admission list for 2083 on 2 September 2026, two days before it called that re-entrance.2
  • Applicants pay by bank voucher and upload a scan of it with the form. There is no online payment step, so the deadline is the bank's counter hours and not the portal's.3
  • The faculty publishes its own peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Engineering, Technology and Planning, whose sixth volume appeared in December 2025.2
  • Enquiries about the entrance go to a dedicated address, [email protected], separate from the dean's office address printed elsewhere on the same page.3
